This diagram gives you an idea of what we will be doing over the next 4 days (note the color ratings at the bottom). At it's highest point of the hike to Machu Picchu, we will reach 4000 meters or just over 13000 feet in altitude. Cusco is 11200 feet in elevation - so, we're going even higher! First day is 7 hours hiking. Second day is 5 hours hiking and third day is 10 hours hiking. On the fourth day we will wake up at 4am to start the final climb for our grand reward of Machu Picchu at sunrise! It's going to be an epic journey!
